SGA-After School Program (ASP) (新东方课后班)
- SGA afterschool program follows Millburn Public Schools’ calendar.
- School bus transportation service covers all Millburn Elementary school.
- SGA also offers holiday care during the Spring and Winter break with additional cost.
- Extended care from 6:30-7:00pm, an additional $50/month will be charged.
- Parents are requested to pick your child up no later than 6:30pm. If you pick up your child after 6:35, you will be charged $1 for every three minutes. Parents are requested to pay the fee directly to the teacher or staff on duty.
- Parents must notify the school when a student needs to be absent from the after-school class for any reason.
- From 5:15 to 6:00 after the Chinese class, the teacher will help the children in the classroom to do the Chinese homework. It is strongly recommended that Chinese homework should not be taken home as much as possible, Except for special circumstances such as cultural interest courses. If parents need their children to take textbooks and homework home, please remind them to bring them back to school the next day.
- Additional supplementary extracurricular homework such as (enhanced Chinese, English and mathematics), Singapore mathematics, Kumon Reading and the English workbook issued by the after-school class, it is also recommended to do it at school. If you must take it home, please also remind your child to bring the book back to school in time, so that the teacher can supervise the child to practice.
Stationery required for the start of ASP:
- Pencils – 10
- 1 pieces of eraser
- 1 stick of solid glue
- 1 box of napkins/tissues
- 1 pack of disinfectant wipes
- Crayons
- or colored pencils – 1 box of 12 colors.
